Band of Brothers
Okay, what can I say about that series of ten episodes.
Stronger then Saving Private Ryan based on its ten part structure Band of
brothers has garnered a 9.6 on imdb.com
Taking us from basic training to jump school, D Day, the Netherlands and
concluding with the concentration camps one becomes attached to the characters.
It takes a strong writer to adapt material (I once wrote a play based on
a Latina poet), but the writers of this long ago series successfully dramatized
a nonfiction book and advanced it to another level.
With the upcoming Star Wars Force Awakens, I hope they can maintain at
least the spirit of the Empire Strikes back.
