I was given three days to write a sample script 3 minutes 3 pages.  No problem. 

Still waiting to hear if I got that job.

Meanwhile I went to see the Martian and wasted 3 hours of my life.  I expected Gravity and got science fiction that well sucked.

Now when I printed the later link I read portions of the 34-page interview.  There are no overnight successes.  Mr. Weir had been writing for 10 years and on top of that had a loyal three thousand following of his writings.  He had a base salary as a computer program and (I guess made enough money to quit writing full time).

He sold over 750k books (at .99 or $9.99).

Okay maybe the word sucked is too harsh and gives away the plot.  But I guessed the ending about 45 minutes into the movie and the director and screenwriter took three hours of my life away creating something that was like  Amazon Women from the moon.

On that DVD I could just fast forward.

Something you could do with my new novel, if I ever do the audio versions.
